Dr. Elham Sayyad Abdi from the Queensland University of Australia in Brisbane will be in residence during the 2018-19 academic year

University of the Pacific will have a Fulbright Scholar in Residence during the 2018-19 academic year. Dr. Elham Sayyad Abdi is a lecturer (assistant professor) in the School of Information Systems at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia.  

Her residency will include serving as a guest lecturer, working with the Center for Teaching and Learning on faculty enrichment, with an emphasis in the area of international and underserved students, and helping to enrich technology resources to support student learning in the University Library.

Since 2014, Sayyad Abdi has coordinated and taught a wide range of subjects in the field of information science in the Master of Information Science at QUT in both face-to-face and online modes. She has a growing record of information research, collaborates in multidisciplinary projects, supervises higher degree research students and publishes in high impact journals. Elham's research has a focus on the interplay between information, people, learning and technology.
