Academic Division

Media X Program director appointed
Kevin PontutiKevin Pontuti has been selected as the director of Pacific's new Media X program in the College of the Pacific. Pontuti comes to Pacific from University of Wisconsin-Stout, where he has served as the program director for the BFA in Entertainment Design and has won multiple teaching awards, including that university's Outstanding Teaching Award, as an associate professor of digital cinema. He has overseen projects in entertainment and multi-media design and has taught 2D Imaging, Digital Imaging and Cinema, Introduction to Digital Narrative, and 3D Modeling and Animation. Pontuti received his BFA from Slippery Rock University and his MFA in Studio Art from Syracuse University. He spent many years working in advertising in San Francisco before founding Studio P in Los Angeles, where he was CEO and lead artist serving advertising, fine art and entertainment clients that included Nike, Acura, Vanity Fair, Access Hollywood and others. Mallisa Baumsteiger was promoted to the position of digital solutions director and project manager in the Office of Enrollment.

Anne Marie Bergthold was promoted to marketing coordinator in the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Leticia Corona transferred to the position of administrative assistant II in the Department of Mathematics in the College of the Pacific.

David Gillette PT, DPT, GCS will be joining the physical therapy faculty in the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in August. Gillette comes to Pacific from St. Catherine University in Minneapolis and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. His areas of expertise include geriatric physical therapy and orthopedics.

Sangeeta Jha is a new graduate services specialist in Research and Graduate Studies.

Andrea Pope is a new marketing and e-communication specialist in the Office of Admission.

Amanda Glasscock transferred to the position of clinic coordinator in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Alexis McBride is a new receptionist in the Department of Orthodontics in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.   

President's Division

Der Yang will become the new business manager for the President's Division as of March 28. Yang has served the university since 1999 and the division since 2002, when she began working in the President's Office. Since 2007, she has handled business operations for Marketing and Communications, including External Relations for a period of time. Yang has also filled in as acting and interim business manager for the President's Office several times in recent years. 

Development

Amanda Elrod has transferred to the position of prospect research analyst in Advancement Services from her previous position in Corporate and Foundation Relations.

Reed MilnesReed Milnes is a new development officer for Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Milne comes to Pacific from the diaTribe Foundation, where he served as development director supporting the diabetes community. His brother, Matt, is a 2003 Dugoni School graduate.  

Beverly Parayno is a new corporate and foundation relations coordinator for Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, working to coordinate corporate and foundation fundraising opportunities beyond dental organizations.

Business and Finance

Lisa Borba-Wa is a new animal care technician in Enterprise Risk Management.

Alan Buffo was promoted to custodial group II lead in Support Services.

Thomas Campbell is a new senior environmental health and safety technician in Enterprise Risk Management.    

Pacific Technology

Steven Barnabas is a new network engineer II.

Ulysses Moore is a new computer operations specialist.

Adrian Maceiras transferred to the position of IT service desk lead on the San Francisco Campus.
