Student Success Conversation: Credo presents its ACE Recommendation Report
On Dec. 12, over 100 Pacific faculty, staff, and administrators heard recommendations from Credo, a higher education consulting firm about how to improve Pacific's programs and practices for undergraduate student success programs. During their two-day visit on the Stockton Campus in September and November and after reviewing Pacific's institutional data, Credo looked at what Pacific has done, what it's doing, and opportunities to address student success at the University.
They identified numerous strengths, as well as opportunities to enhance the experience of Pacific's freshman and transfer students during their first 18 months at Pacific with a goal to increase our retention and graduation rates. This is part of the work Credo is already doing for Pacific, including working on the Pacific 2025 priority of "Thriving Students" and looking at "space and place" at Pacific and its impact on learning.
While there were a number of specific recommendations, the overarching recommendation is to establish a strategic partnership between Academics, Student Life and Athletics. To learn more, please see Credo's presentation and the Recommendations Report (PacificNet login required for these files). During the next month, recommendations will be prioritized and considered during work on Pacific 2025.
